He’s the classic of classics, isn’t he? 😄🧛♂️ I didn’t even think about looking into game lore for vamps! I’ll have to get with my gamer kids and ask them about the one you mentioned. I’m pretty clueless when it comes to that realm. Thanks so much for the comment, Joseph!
Yes, yes, and yes to all! Bram Stoker was my introduction but Anne Rice sealed the deal. I literally have an entire shelf full of nothing but vampire literature.
Picking a favorite is HARD. I adore Lestat but did not care for Tom Cruise’s interpretation (Stuart Townsend was far better but the film was 😖).
As a former Twilight obsessed nerd, I’ll always hold a special place for Edward, but the lack of fangs took away a bit of the charm and don’t even get me started on the sparkly skin. 🙄🤣
The first two Underworld films were great (okay maybe the prequel wasn’t too bad). The rest have been less than stellar to say the least.
To be perfectly honest, I’m a bit partial to Eric from True Blood. The show fell off in the later years but I thought the first 3 or 4 seasons were pretty decent.
I’m actually getting towards the end of my own vampire series, The Art of Darkness. Working on chapter 12 but 1-11 are on my Substack now.
Thanks for commenting, MaKenna! Oh, you are speaking my language with Eric Northman 🤤. He’s definitely one of my favs too. I agree with you on Tom Cruise’s Lestat—it kind of makes me laugh whenever I see pics from that movie now. Did not age well, as they say. 😅
That’s so cool that you have your own vampire series here on Substack! I’ll have to check it out.
Oooh, vampires! Yes, please! I can't say I have a favorite because I'm always intrigued by the different variations, but Louis and Lestat have to be my first loves in the genre :-)
Bela Lugosi for the win.
Brahm Stoker's Dracula for a book, with P.N. Elronds Vampire Files.
White Wolf's Vampire: Masquerade for a gaming system.

They’re icons of an era, those two. 😁 Rice’s books will always mark a space in time, in my memory.
None other than Barnabas Collins from Dark Shadows: Jonathan Fried! ( who needs/ wants Johnny Depp)
Oh, yess! Good one! 🧛♂️ I agree. :)
