Hey, Monsters!
How’s life treating my favorite book-reading beasts? I gotta tell you, the month of March really got away from me somehow. I just finished with some outdoor morning chores and I think it blew away with the hellacious winds we’re having. But seriously, all through the past four weeks, I found myself with absolutely no time for anything online and very little for writing anything at all. Still, there are some stories swimming around in this head of mine that I really want to develop for you here in the lair.
Before I go any further, I just want to say welcome to the new subscribers. I know there are a few of you who have joined our Monsters’ reader group recently and we’re all so glad you did! It’s a fun place to talk books and fantasy loves. Feel free to introduce yourself in comments and let us know if you have any favorite fantasy romance reads or shows we need to know about.
Back to my writing thoughts—I need your help. Like I said, I have a few projects on the brain right now, a few story worlds percolating. But at the moment, I find I’m a little too distracted to buckle down and figure out which one of them to work on.
Sooo, maybe you can help me decide where to best place my energies. Here are a couple of “This or That” style polls that I think might steer me in the right direction. Plus, I really want to know what you think. :)
Last poll. This one has a few more choices, because I’m curious.
I can’t wait to see your responses!
That’s about all I have for now, lovely lairlings. Keep an eye out for new posts here and in the various sections of this newsletter. Hope you are well and your days ahead are joy-filled. Remember, my inbox is always open if you want to chat about books, life, or just whatever. I love hearing from you! Till then…
I’m wishing you many magical moments and tons of great reading!
All my best,
Amanda V Shane
P.S. Here’s a lovely sky picture and a look at our trees getting blown around. I realize it’s not all that dramatic without the wind sounds. Whoosh!
One of my favourite tropes is someone who thinks they're a normal human learning that, actually there's a lot more out there than they realise!
Love your photo! I can sympathize with being strapped for time to write these days. But it sounds like you've got some great things cooking. Can't wait to hear more :-)
