You know, Maya and the Three has become a favorite during this season partly due to Hispanic Heritage Month and just the richness of the story. Aside from that, Neil Gaiman just always strikes the perfect note during the spooky season. I love horror movies but I truthfully haven't watched one in a long time that captivated or impressed me. Doctor Sleep was pretty good, though, and I think it might have been the last one.
Ohh, Neil Gaiman is the best this time of year, you’re right! I haven’t seen Maya and the Three yet. I’ll have to look it up. I watched Doctor Sleep last year--creepy-scary af!! 😱 It was so disturbing.
I love spooky season and anything with an old school "haunted ruins" gothic vibe. And I'm incapable of scrolling past Young Frankenstein without stopping to watch. A true classic :-)
Sisters of the Salt by Erin A. Craig. There are two so far, but they're basically standalones. Hoping she writes more!
I hadn’t heard of these yet. Thanks for putting them on our radar! 😉💖
For sure!!

Odile is a great spooky romance. I also enjoy reading Sherlock Holmes
I’m so glad you liked Odile! 🥀 Ooo, Sherlock Holmes stories definitely have that mysterious and harrowing feel to them.

It really is! 😅 And, yes, the gothic vibes are what I like too. Happy spooky season!
