Hello, Beautiful Monsters,

Happy weekend! I’m writing a short, little letter to check in with you in between scurrying around the kitchen (making, you guessed it, shish kabobs) and getting the house ready for company. It’s my dad’s birthday next week, so we’re throwing a B-day slash Father’s Day get-together at my house later this afternoon. Which reminds me, Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads and Dad figures here in the lair and to the one’s who are lairlings by association and don’t even know. Tee-hee.

*Sidenote - I’ve already had quite a few male reader friends challenge the veracity of the situation described in the last teaser graphic. Apparently, they most certainly can. I wasn’t given any more details than that, but do with the information what you will. Lmao.

In case you missed it, here is the beautiful print wrap extension of Storm Tide’s cover. I love it! Anika always does an amazing job designing my covers. And she’s absolutely lovely to work with. With the cover complete, I was able to order proof copies this week. They should come in *squeee!* either today or tomorrow. I’m so excited!

Okay, that’s all for now, lairlings. I have to get back to chopping vegetables and marinating ingredients for the shish kabobs now. Oh, the glamor! Lol. Before I go though, what are your plans this weekend? More importantly, do you have any great book or fantasy type show recs for me? I’m still watching Sleepy Hollow on Tubi. As for books, I just started reading A Promise of Fire, the first book in Amanda Bouchet’s Kingmaker series. I can’t believe I hadn’t read it already. It’s so good!
