“Hot Book Summer”
See what I did there? ⬆️ Check out the beautiful new cover for my novelette - Midsummer Lover.
Hi there, my beautiful Book Monsters!
I’m putting this one out a little early, but I can’t wait anymore! I did indeed give my little summer novelette a “glow up” with a gorgeous new cover, just in time for the start to summer up here in the northern hemisphere. What do you think?
This little story is a very tryst-y romp of a tale that I plan to do more with in the Tides of Atlantis story world. When you read it, you’ll have some insights into some books I have planned for the future. Besides all that, though, it’s a fun, hot, short read to steam up your summer, and I’ve tried to employ lots of “feels” with that theme in mind. The newest and maybe most enjoyable way to read this story is on my Ream account in their social ereader, where I am able to include author notes and other community add-ins (and readers are invited to do so as well - so fun!). There’s no cost, Eros and Edie’s story is my gift to you guys for putting up with me and joining me on this wild ride. Just click, follow, and start reading!
Here’s a tease:
Excerpt:
God of…
“… the wild.” She blurted out, breaking away as realization struck. Where had that thought come from?
He smiled down at her, the sight so calming while at the same time so deadly sexy. Then he laughed. Had she spoken that whole thought aloud?
“For you, yes, I could be your ‘god of the wild’ tonight.”
At that, Edie gasped, for a golden antler crown appeared on his head and a shining aura surrounded them both. The vision made her knees weak.
“And what is your name, beautiful one? Who shall you be tonight?”
Edie thought for a moment. She knew what he was doing, giving her the chance to stay completely anonymous. To enjoy this one moment with no strings attached. When she spoke, though, she found herself unable to lie to him.
“I’m Eden.”
He chuckled again, but looked down at her with the gentlest expression—almost sad, longing. For one small moment, her heart broke for him because of that look.
“Of course you are,” he brushed her hair back from her cheek, “my Eden to dream on when the sun burns its hottest in springtime and summer.”

Have a look at the trope graphic I put up earlier this week. I got a little creative. :) What are your favorite fantasy romance tropes?
