I’m just saying a short hello here in the lair to let you know about an awesome book fair event I’m involved in this month. If you live somewhere that has you smack dab in the middle of a cold and snowy winter like I do, then I know you want to surround yourself with a lot of awesome books to read.

Welcome to USA Today Bestselling author, Astrid V.J.’s, annual February Romance Fair! Astrid is a South African fantasy author, social anthropologist and transformational life coach who loves to read romances of all kinds. This month, she is celebrating the diversity of the romance genre while highlighting independently published authors she knows and loves. Although Astrid has not read all the books featured in this fair, she loves to provide readers an opportunity to find their next favourite read.

This fair includes the following romance tropes:

To facilitate finding just the right book for you, each of the featured books is marked based on the following chili pepper rating:

In addition to the book features, author spotlights and book fair, Astrid has also put up a challenge for you, dear reader. The book fair includes two giveaways and Astrid is adding a fun way to get some extra entries! Check out the Romance Fair Book Bingo:
Each bingo on the graphics included in this email counts as an entry towards one of the giveaways, your choice. All you have to do is post by February 28 your bingo card with the covers of the indie romance books you've read (any subgenre goes for the trope bingo, and of course for the subgenre bingo you will have to stick to the provided subgenres) and tag @astrid.v.j_author_official (on Instagram) or Astrid V.J. USA Today Bestselling Author (on Facebook).
How to play?
1. Only independently published books allowed
2. One bingo row (three books) = one additional entry in the giveaway; two rows = two additional entries. And so on.
3. Complete the full 9-book square and gain a total of 10 extra entries towards the giveaway of your choice.
4. For the entries to count, by 28 February at the latest, you have to post your completed bingo card and tag Astrid V.J.
5. The extra bonus: complete your bingo card exclusively with books by the authors participating in this fair and you gain a total of 20 extra entries for the giveaway of your choice.
6. You may play with both bingo cards, but you cannot repeat books.
