Hello, Monsters!
How did March treat you, my beauties? Are you ready for April Showers and then May flowers after that? More importantly, do you have any tricky tricks or clever pranks planned for April Fool’s Day? Pranks always put me in mind of mischievous imps and meddlesome fae type characters—do you fit that description? Be honest, lol. I’ll admit, I’ve never pulled an April Fool’s Day prank. I’m not sure I’m sly enough to pull one off. But it is on my bucket list. If you have an awesome prank story to give me some ideas, do tell.
Meanwhile, I’m hard at work on my current editing round of Storm Tide and it’s going really well. One of these days, I’ll share about why this book is taking me so long—but it’s really close to being reader worthy, I promise! Big hugs and thank yous to everyone who keeps asking me about my progress and enthusiastically reading the teasers and snippets I’ve been putting out. Very soon I’ll have a longer excerpt for you. Stay tuned! If you want early consideration for advanced reader copy opportunities, let me know in an email. In the meantime, here’s one of my favorite Karr and Isdra teasers to feast your eyes on:
Since I’ve been working on Storm Tide, I haven’t had as much time to read as I would like, but here are some of the books I’ve been seeing around that I’m stowing away on my TBR for later.
Have you read any of these?
A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Little Fire by Hollee Minds
The Never King by Nikki St. Crowe
Savage Lands by Stacey Marie Brown
