And Just Like That, I Found Cozy Fantasy
What I'm reading right now, some pretty books to look at, and some other things I've been up to of late.
Hello, hello, Beautiful Book Monsters!
How is January treating you thus far? It’s somehow managed to be a busy month for me, what with all the storms and school starting up again after the holidays. I’ve been doing a fair bit of reading, too. I ran across some cozy fantasy books by accident and, I have to say, I’m looking forward to doing more reading in this genre. Currently, I’m reading Some Enchanted Eclair from Bailey Cates Magical Bakery Mystery series (it’s absolutely as scrumptious as it sounds) and Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett. I’ll put up the links for them down below, in case you want to give them a look.
What have you been reading lately?
A First Kiss Snippet
Here’s a look at the yummy teaser I put out on my social media this week. Thought you might enjoy a little kissing book action between Lucien and Marissa from my vampire WIP.
Mm-mm-mmm, I definitely have more on the way from these two. Stay tuned! 💋
Some News!
As promised, I have an update on my progress with the Ream project. I said I would tell you more about the platform, since it’s a fairly new site. There have been some pretty exciting developments over there in the last couple of weeks. They’ve added a discovery feature! I knew this particular update was coming online soon. I just didn’t know when. But, yay!, I can now inform you that the platform is a fully searchable site, and there are a lot of great authors churning out stories over there. If you love early access, serialized fiction, as well as the chance to get to know writers and be a part of their communities, you’ll want to check Ream Stories out. They have a lot of stories in our favorite genres too. I know because I looked. Of course I looked! I had to make sure there was a good offering of fantasy and paranormal romance, and was pleased to find that there definitely is.
Here’s a quick peek at my page. I’d love it if you came over and gave me a follow. (Follows are absolutely free.) You’ll notice I tried to make it a comfy place for my Book Monsters to enjoy. I probably had too much fun coming up with the tier descriptions. :)
For you curious book monsters who would like more information about Ream, take a look at this post, or access the homepage here.
*And if you are an author who is interested in starting your own Ream account, please do click this little “tell them I sent you” link and join the fun!
Books, Books, Books!
Here are those books I told you about, aaannd a couple more for good measure:
That brings us to the end of everything I have for us this week, Monsters. Till next time…
I’m wishing you many magical days ahead, and lots of great reading!

Right now, I am rediscovering the Mirrorshades cyberpunk anthology, edited by Bruce Sterling. It's been like meeting an old friend after a long absence :)
I just read Biker Bear from Miri Stone and Sizzle by Carrie Aarons.. completely different genres but good reads
